Community Guidelines

Effective July 3, 2026 · These guidelines are part of our Terms of Service.

A Circle only works if everyone at the table can trust it. These are the rules that protect that, short on purpose. Every Circle adopts them as its house rules when it activates, alongside any topics that Circle chooses to steer around.

1. Be who you say you are

Real name, real photos, real you. Everyone in a Circle has verified they're a real person; honor what that verification means.

2. Show up

An RSVP is a promise to four or five other people. Life happens, but if it does, say so early in the group chat. Repeated silent no-shows are the fastest way to lose your Circle.

3. Kindness is the default

No harassment, hate speech, cruelty, or exclusion, at meetups, in group chats, anywhere on the platform. Disagreement is fine; contempt isn't.

4. This is not a dating app

People joined Friends to make friends. Don't treat your Circle as a dating pool, don't make unwanted advances, and don't make anyone regret showing up. If a genuine connection forms between two consenting adults, that's life, but pursuing it uninvited, or persistently, is a violation.

5. No selling

No recruiting for MLMs, pitching services, promoting your brand, or otherwise treating members as leads. Friendship isn't a funnel.

6. Respect the table's privacy

What people share in a Circle stays there. Don't screenshot group chats for sport, don't share members' info, and ask before posting photos of people.

7. Keep it safe

First meetups happen in public places. Don't pressure anyone to drink, to stay, or to move somewhere private. If someone makes you or others uneasy, report it, reports are confidential and reviewed by a human.

Enforcement

Violations can mean a warning, removal from a Circle, or removal from NexSpark Friends entirely, depending on severity. Safety issues are acted on immediately. Report anything to hello@nexspark.com or through the app.
