Child Safety Standards

NexSpark Friends has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) of any kind on our platform. These standards cover everything we operate at nexspark.org, including NexSpark Tables.

Prevention

NexSpark Friends is 18+. Every member is identity- and age-verified before they can join a Circle, which is the point at which anyone can reach anyone. The assessment and your archetype are open before that check; messaging, profiles and meetups are not. Every video intro is reviewed by our team before it can ever be seen by a match, nothing goes live unmoderated.

NexSpark Tables is 18+ too, and holds nothing about a child who attends. Tables is a seating tool for an event someone else hosts, a wedding, a dinner, a venue night, and children are often in those rooms as the host's guests. We do not verify guests, so rather than pretend to screen children we keep the product away from them: joining through the link is for people 18 and older, and a host seating anyone younger adds them by name alone, with no email address and nothing answered. What we then hold about that child is a first name on a seating chart. Tables has no profiles, no photos, no video, and no messaging: a guest sees only the first names of the people at their table and cannot contact any of them through us. The only messages Tables sends are the host's own invitations to their own guests. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 through Tables, and we delete it if we learn we have.

Detection and reporting

Any member can report a profile, message, or video at any time, from the app or by emailing us. Reports are reviewed promptly by our safety team, and violating content or accounts are removed. We identify violations through human moderation review and member reports.

At a Tables event, the host can remove any guest from their room at any time, and anyone, guest or host or bystander, can report an event to us at hello@nexspark.com. We can end or delete an event and everything in it.

Legal compliance

Where we obtain actual knowledge of apparent CSAE content, we remove it and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement, as required by law.
